Project Description

This conservatory located in Hamilton, Massachusetts features our solid sapelle mahogany roof system and Andersen 400-series casement windows and door. The homeowner expressed a wish to create a vibrant space that would provide an outdoor feel with indoor amenities, and the combination of the glass walls, glass roof, and corner fireplace achieves this.

Sunspace Design added an exterior deck accessed directly from the conservatory. The room has eleven operable windows as well as air conditioning and heat to provide year-round comfort. We’ve also installed a new set of French doors to provide a beautiful transition from the existing house while exposing adjacent rooms to additional sunlight.

The architectural elements were enhanced by our use of high performance glass featuring excellent solar control and insulating values. Sunspace Design designs all of its conservatories, orangeries, sunrooms, custom skylights, and roof lanterns to provide maximum visible light transmittance while at the same time optimizing heat gain and heat loss.

These unique additions provided the client with an elegant space for entertainment or relaxation in any season.
