A Custom Sloped Roof Sunroom in Nahant, MA

by | Aug 21, 2024 | Construction

We’re proud of our contributions to this Nahant, Massachusetts sunroom project and are glad to present it to you today. Nestled near a picturesque coastline, this captivating glass space was the result of close collaboration, with Sunspace Design delivering our custom glass design-build expertise as part of a larger collective of industry professionals. Modern Heritage, a home building company out of Topsfield, served capably and professionally as general contractor. Zephyr and Ore, architects out of the North Shore, brought their design expertise to the fore. Our goal? To craft a luminous sanctuary for the homeowners, bathing their interior in natural sunlight while delivering the top-notch thermal performance needed to withstand the ever-changing New England climate.

Our main contribution is the sunroom’s single-sloped glass roof. The unit is framed in gorgeous, solid mahogany in an elegant design marrying timeless beauty with modern construction innovations. Solarban 70 glass provides exceptional energy efficiency. The exterior is adorned with cold-rolled copper cladding and flashing to beautiful effect. We provided the initial design and manufacture of the custom sunroom roof components as well as swift, seamless installation by pre-assembling the mahogany frame in the workshop and utilizing a crane to lift the unit into place. The project is testament to our longstanding tradition of collaborating with fellow industry professionals to bring exceptional value and results to local clients. Let’s explore the details.
